Big Lakes County’s Animal Care Facility provides care for dogs who were found astray, may not have an identified owner, or dogs who were surrendered to Big Lakes County. The facility also provides care for cats found astray within hamlets in Big Lakes County. Animals placed in the Animal Care Facility will stay for three days while our staff make every attempt to contact their owner. Animals who have not been claimed after the allotted days become the property of the County and will be placed in the care of In The Woods Animal Rescue, or will remain at our Animal Care Facility and placed up for adoption.
ACCEPTING DONATIONS
Big Lakes Animal Care Facility is seeking the following donations to help us take the very best care of the animals in our facility!
- Towels/blankets
- Clumping cat litter
- Cat food
- Dog food (Purina dog chow, Purina puppy chow)
- Monetary donations to help with vet bills or other supplies needed.
- E-transfer [email protected] and note in the message box that the transfer is a donation to the Animal Care Facility (ACF)
- In-person payments for donations can be made at any of our Admin or FCSS Offices
- If giving monetary donations, a tax receipt can be mailed to you!
