Property Re-Inspection in Big Lakes County
From April 29 to May 3, 2024, Compass Assessment Consultants Inc. will conduct property re-inspections in designated areas within the County boundaries.
“The County conducts property re-inspections to ensure accuracy of all data assessment records; however, some properties may not be visited if they were recently re-inspected, or there have been no physical changes to the property.”
County assessors will be inspecting properties within Townships 74-15, 74-16, 74-17 and 74-18.
Property re-inspection is a standard best practice used by all Alberta municipalities to ensure the correctness and reliability of their assessment base. The re-inspection program is monitored and audited by Municipal Affairs to ensure compliance.
County assessors will be wearing photo identification badges. If residents are not home, and the assessors have questions, a door hanger will be left with information to contact the Assessment Department at 1-800-251-9711.
