Jet

Breed: Mixed Breed
General Demeanour: Playful, Energetic
Sex: Neutered Male
Date of Birth: Approx. 2022

Location: Animal Care Facility

Appearance: White and brown, medium size
Date Impounded: Nov 7, 2024
Adoption fee: Generously Donated

Jet is a playful guy with a big love for life and all it has to offer. He is higher energy and loves to run around the yard, preferably with a few of his friends, go for walks or runs, and gnaw on as many toys as he can handle! He especially appreciates a heavy duty ball or two that he can kick and toss around, or a Kong filled with some peanut butter to dig out. Jet does need work on his manners, as he really loves giving hugs and jumping up on people, and because he is a well built guy thanks to his playfulness, he can catch you off guard if you aren’t expecting his love bombs. He loves to show affection with kisses and hugs, but we’d prefer if he kept all four paws on the ground to share his love with us, and are working on getting him to understand that. Jet would appreciate a higher energy home with room to run around and play, other dogs to hang out with, and someone who will continue to teach him his manners and basic obedience.

Jet is good with other dogs. He is good with kids, but due to his higher energy levels is best suited to a household with older kids (10+). He has the tendancy to chase outdoor cats, so would be best in a home with no feline companions.

Sex: Neutered Male
Date of Birth: Approx. 2022

Location: Foster Home

Appearance: Tan & white
Date Impounded: July 10, 2025

Fred came to us as a stray after we had been keeping an eye on him since November, when we caught his brother (Jet). Fred is a very sweet boy who loves attention from humans. Fred is on the calmer side (unlike his brother) and is overall pretty docile. Fred loves to bring you his favourite toy to show you just how cute he is – all while making sounds to ensure you are paying attention to him. Fred gets along really well with other dogs, especially ones that match his calm energy. He loves to have the zoomies out in the yard from time to time though, especially when he is out with his best friend, Roxy.

Fred has spent time with volunteers and their young children and he looooves to give kids kisses and check up on them when they are crying. He is the most gentle boy around kids. When the kids run, he doesn’t run after them, just checks to see what they’re doing and goes on his merry way. He has great manners (could use a bit of work on the jumping) and has great recall, especially since his name has only been Fred since July.

Fred is good with other dogs and kids. He is untested with cats.

Sex: Neutered Male
Date of Birth: Approx. 2022

Location: Animal Care Facility

Appearance: Black, white & grey
Date Impounded: September 9, 2025
Adoption fee: $300

Goose is a beautiful estimated mix of Heeler and Border Collie, approximately 2 years old. He’s a sweet, gentle boy with a kind heart, the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. He’s playful, sweet, and has so much love waiting to give.

Goose has been patiently waiting far too long for a place to call his own… and we truly can’t understand why. Goose is the kind of dog who blossoms when he has a canine companion by his side. His confidence grows instantly when another dog is around, and it’s honestly one of the most heartwarming things to see. Whether he’s playing, exploring, or simply curling up for a nap, Goose is happiest when he has a buddy nearby. Because of this, we are strongly hoping to find him a home with another friendly dog who can continue to help him feel safe, secure, and loved.

In his previous foster home, Goose had shown just how gentle and easygoing he truly is. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has also proven to be great with cats, making him a fantastic addition to a multi-pet household. After everything he’s been through, it’s Goose’s turn. His turn for stability. His turn for love. His turn for forever.

Goose is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. Goose would thrive with dogs his size or larger than him.

Tim

Sex: Neutered Male
Date of Birth: 2022

Location: Animal Care Facility

Appearance: Brown
Date Impounded: November 28, 2025

Tim is such a sweet boy with so much love to give. He’s very food motivated and really just wants to connect with his people. He’s a sensitive, soft-hearted guy who needs a bit of patience. He would really benefit from having another playful dog around to help build his confidence and burn off some energy.

Once he trusts you, he’ll be your most loyal, playful and loving companion—the kind of dog who will follow you through a snowstorm just to be by your side… or maybe beg for a freshly collected egg from the chicken coop.

He’s goofy, gentle, and deeply loving. Wonderful with kids, loves other dogs, and would be happiest with a playful canine companion. He’s good with cats (may chase when excited but has great recall). Tim is house trained, learning to love his kennel (even tucks himself in at bedtime now). He’ll happily play until he’s tired—then find a comfy spot to lay down and nap. He seems to bond closely with his people and looks to them for comfort and reassurance.

Tim is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. Tim is working on being around chickens.

Andre

Breed: Malamute X
General Demeanour: Sweet, shy
Sex: Neutered Male
Date of Birth: Approx. 2023

Location: Foster Home

Appearance: White, grey & brown
Date Impounded: December 30, 2025
Adoption fee: Generously Donated

Andre was found at the local landfill, whether he was abandoned or simply wandered there, we may never know. What we do know is that Andre has been nothing but friendly and kind with our staff since the day he arrived. When Andre first came to the shelter, the world felt a little overwhelming. He wasn’t used to being on leash and had a mental block about leaving his kennel to go outside, and even about coming back inside afterward. With patience, encouragement, and lots of positive experiences, Andre has largely overcome those hurdles and continues to gain confidence every day. Andre loves spending time outside with other dogs, he plays hard and enjoys the company – we get to see a different side of him. He is one of the goofiest dogs that we have seen and we love him for it. Andre is also very clean in his kennel and is overall well-mannered.

Andre would thrive in a loving, understanding home that will keep building on the progress he’s already made. He’s shown us that with compassion and consistency, he’s more than capable of learning that life is safe, and even pretty great.

Andre is good with other dogs, and currently untested with cats and kids.

Lucky’s story is one that will tug at your heart. He was found at the local landfill, running up to every vehicle that drove in, hoping that maybe — just maybe — it was the family that had left him there coming back for him.

Lucky is living up to his name and hoping his luck leads him straight to his forever home! This sweet boy loves playing fetch and will happily chase after his favorite toy with a big, joyful spirit. He also knows basic commands and is good on leash! But don’t let his playful side fool you – once he’s indoors, Lucky turns into the calmest, quietest companion you could ask for. In fact, he’s so relaxed in his kennel that he’s given our staff a few double-takes, by laying motionless as they walked by! Lucky is great on leash, knows some basic commands, and has a gentle, easygoing nature that makes him a perfect fit for families with kids or just about any lifestyle.

Location: Animal Care Facility

Appearance: Black & brown
Date Impounded: March 23, 2026

Duke’s story started during one of the cold snaps, when he showed up at a kind family’s home and made a decision for himself, he wasn’t leaving. And honestly… we don’t blame him. Since that day, Duke has settled right into foster care and has been proving what an incredible dog he is. Estimated to be around 2 years old, Duke is a young German Shepherd with a goofy, lovable personality that shines through in everything he does. He’s the perfect mix of playful and well-mannered. He loves to have fun, but also seems to have had some previous training and understands the basics, making him a great candidate for a home ready to continue building on that foundation.

Duke is wonderfully social and enjoys the company of other animals. He does well with both dogs and cats, making him a great fit for a home with existing pets. He loves having buddies to hang out and play with, and his easygoing nature makes him a joy to have around. With people, Duke is just as fantastic. He’s friendly, affectionate, and always ready to bring a smile to your face with his silly antics. Whether he’s being playful or just hanging out nearby, Duke has that special ability to quickly become part of the family.

Like most young Shepherds, Duke will benefit from continued structure, exercise, and mental stimulation to help him be his very best self. He’s a smart boy with lots of potential and will thrive in a home that can provide him with guidance, consistency, and love.

Duke is currently untested with kids and preferably in an environment with no cats.

Appearance: Black & white
Date Impounded: April 7, 2026

Moo, estimated to be 5–7 years old, is a stunning merle with icy blue eyes that will stop you in your tracks. We think there’s some hound in her by her short stature and droopy ears. Moo is a sweet girl who hasn’t had the best go at life so far. She came to us after being seized from a property – at no fault of her own. She is very bonded to Sandy, whom she came to us with. Moo is outgoing, affectionate, and loves heading out for walks and exploring new places. She leans into her people, soaking up attention and leading the way with confidence. We are still getting to know this beautiful girl, but so far has been nothing but amazing around the employees, she loves a good pet and scratch and will happily stay nearby to accept it from you.

Moo is currently untested with other dogs (other than Sandy), cats, or kids.

Sandy, under a year old, golden in color with the softest fur, her gentle spirit shining through even in uncertainty. Sandy is a shy girl who hasn’t had the best go at life so far. She came to us after being seized from a property – at no fault of her own. She is very bonded to Moo, whom she came to us with. She is still learning that the world is a safe place. She’s a nervous girl who will need time, patience, and love to build trust. Right now, walking on a leash feels scary – unless Moo is right there beside her. With her mom close, she finds her courage. Without her… she feels lost.

Sandy is currently untested with other dogs (other than Moo), cats, or kids.
