Compass Assessment Consultants Inc. will be conducting property re-inspections in designated areas within the County boundaries from July 8 to July 12, 2024.
The County conducts property re-inspections to ensure accuracy of all data assessment records; however, some properties may not be visited if they were recently re-inspected, or there have been no physical changes to the property.
County assessors will be inspecting properties within Townships 75-15, 75-16, 75-17 and 75-18.
Property re-inspection is a standard best practice used by all Alberta municipalities to ensure the correctness and reliability of their assessment base. The re-inspection program is monitored and audited by Municipal Affairs to ensure compliance.
County assessors will be wearing photo identification badges. If residents are not home, and the assessors have questions, a door hanger will be left with information to contact the Assessment Department at 1-800-251-9711. If you have any questions, please contact our Tax Clerk at Big Lakes County at 780-523-5955.
All information collected during the re-inspection is subjected to the Freedom of Information and Privacy of Protection Act.
