We kindly remind all residents not to place household garbage in the recycling bins. Doing so contaminates the recycling stream and creates additional cleanup costs for the community.

Improper use of recycling bins is a bylaw violation and may result in fines. The fine structure is as follows:
- $500 for the first offence
- $750 for the second
- $1,000 for the third
- $5,000 for each subsequent offence
Fines have already been issued, including a recent incident in the Hamlet of Enilda where improper disposal was identified.
