Big Lakes County Library Board – Youthwrite Summer Camp

Applicant Information

Big Lakes County Library Board will cover registration and provide subsistence, for a total of 2 children, up to $1,600 per child. The children will be selected from two different ages groups for the 2025 Youthwrite Summer Camp. Note that the Library Board will select applicants based on enthusiasm for attending the camp and writing/artistic aptitude. The successful applicants will be notified via email. Please ensure you have indicated the correct email address in the applicant information portion of the form. Applicants must reside in Big Lakes County and be between the ages of 11 and 17 years old. Application deadline is April 15, 2025.

Please upload ONE short sample of the applicant’s writing, either 75 words of poetry, a 250-word story or essay, or a 1-page comic with a minimum of 3 panels, stating/depicting why they would like to attend the camp. The submission needs to include the reason(s) that the applicant would like to attend the camp.
