At the Annual Organizational Meeting held on Monday, November 3, 2025, Big Lakes County Council re-elected Ward 8 Councillor Tyler Airth as Reeve and elected Ward 4 Councillor Roberta Hunt as Deputy Reeve for the coming year.

“I am grateful to my fellow councillors for their continued confidence in my leadership,” said Reeve Tyler Airth. “It’s an honour to serve again as Reeve, and I look forward to building on the progress we’ve made together. Our focus remains on strengthening our community, supporting local growth, maintaining our fiscal responsibility, and ensuring good governance.”

The Annual Organizational Meeting is held each year, during which council reviews and updates key bylaws and policies, appoints members to over 50 boards and committees, and elects the Reeve and Deputy Reeve. The meeting helps set the direction for the year ahead, ensuring County leadership remains aligned with community needs and long-term goals.

“I am honoured to be chosen by my fellow councillors to serve as Deputy Reeve,” said Deputy Reeve Roberta Hunt.” I look forward to working together as a team to continue advancing the priorities of our residents and supporting growth and sustainability across Big Lakes County.”
