Property Assessment and Tax Notices will be mailed out on April 26, 2023! Please contact our Tax and Assessment Clerk if:
• your address has changed
• you have bought property in the last four months, OR
• you do not receive your tax notice by the end of May

Property Taxes are due and payable on or before Friday, June 30. Failure to receive a tax notice doesn’t alleviate property from property taxation.

Payments can be made at the County Office (cash, cheque, or debit), or online via interac e-transfer or by adding Big Lakes County as a payee at your bank! Visit our website to learn how to set up online banking: biglakescounty.ca/online-payments

REMINDER if you are enrolled in the Tax Instalment Payment Plan (TIPP) program, you do not have to make any extra payments as your payments are already withdrawn every month.

Want to sign up for our TIPPs program and make budgeting easier? TIPPs allows you to pay your property taxes monthly instead of one payment in June. Payments will be withdrawn from your bank account automatically through a pre-authorized withdrawal. TIPP makes budgeting easier on your pocketbook and eliminates the risk of penalties.
